When do your press releases get the most views?
When we wrote a post about the best day to publish a press release, we didn’t have an ultimate answer. It probably doesn’t even exist. We were actually looking for some feedback from our readers and we got it.
We have a huge amount of data about online PR. We are now trying to understand what kind of analysis can be useful for our readers. On the other hand, we need to be sure that our analysis is 100% reliable.
Since we want to present only data we have analyzed correctly, we’ll start with the easy stuff. It doesn’t mean this is less interesting, though. So, when do the most views occur?
We took the pageviews to all the press releases published on pr.co and we divided them by day of the week. So far, we’re able to say the most views occur on Wednesdays. The readers of the press releases on pr.co are most likely to pay a visit in the first four days of the week. Weekends are not far behind, though.
Keep this in mind: pageviews have nothing to do with the day press releases get published. On the other hand, it can be interesting to compare the rates: when the press releases are published and when you get the most pageviews.

We can see, for instance, that even if most press releases get published on Tuesdays and Thursdays (18% each), the views in these days are not more than in other days (15% of the views on both Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Another interesting comparison is about weekends. Very few press releases are published on weekends (17% on Saturdays and Sundays together), but 25% of the total views occur on weekends.
Now you know when the pageviews occur. Stay tuned for more insights!
